GMA Still, the Light Shone
When teachers returned to campus on 21 April, they were welcomed with a simple but powerful symbol: a special badge featuring a lighthouse, Dubai’s skyline, and the words “Still, the Light Shone.”
The lighthouse became a reflection of the role GMA educators played during uncertain times – a steady, reassuring presence for students and families when it mattered most. While challenges unfolded beyond the classroom walls, teachers remained calm, resilient, and unwavering in their commitment to learning and wellbeing.
The Wi-Fi waves flowing from the lighthouse symbolised a new kind of connection, where care travelled through screens, voices bridged distances, and learning continued to find its way home. Teachers refined lessons, revisited concepts, and gave generously of their time to ensure that every student felt supported, guided, and seen.
More than continuity, this chapter reflected the strength and spirit of the GMA teaching community. Their quiet dedication became a guiding light – steady, compassionate, and deeply impactful.
